Join Transition Sebastopol and Special Guests Michael Brownlee (Transition Boulder County) & David Johnson (Transition Portland) for this powerful introduction to the inspiring Transition movement, and learn how you can become involved in helping our community to carve out a pathway to freedom from fossil fuel dependence and to develop local resilience and self-reliance in the face of global crises.
Michael Brownlee is co-founder of Transition Boulder County, the first Transition Initiative in the United States, one-year old and thriving! Michael is also a board member of Transition US and a certified Transition Trainer. David Johnson was involved in a think tank set up by Rob Hopkins in the early days of Transition Town Totnes and recently moved to Portland, Oregon where he has been in the central group for Transition Portland.

We're on the precipice of global disasters of our own making that could forever undermine our ability to survive and thrive on this planet. But we're also on the threshold of awesome and entirely unexpected possibilities that could unleash our largely hidden potential.

Great Event and Challenging Opportunity
The Transition Talk was an interesting and informative meeting with two representatives of other communities involved in the Transition Experience. The question of how best to relate to existing initiatives with the same or a similar mission to TS remains a challenge. The degree of interest and enthusiasm in the community suggests that a lot can be done if the energy and only be channeled. It would be good to hear what other people think.
