Transition Movie Series Will Resume in January

Dear Transition Sebastopol allies --

We just completed a successful run of the Transition Movie Series for 2009, working in collaboration with the French Garden Restaurant. The Transition Movie Night is on the the last Wednesday of each month. Given that the last Wednesdays in November and December are just before Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve, we will be resuming the series in January 2010.

Here is a list of the movies that were shown in the series in 2009:

  • "The Power of Community -- How Cuba Survived Peak Oil"
  • "The 11th Hour"
  • "Crude Awakening"
  • "The Real Dirt on Farmer John"
  • "Who Killed the Electric Car"
  • "An Inconvenient Truth"
  • "End of Suburbia"
  • "In Transition"

(read more about each of these past events here)

Most of the movies were well attended and with many engaging discussions with special guests after most of the showings. We will probably be screening "Fresh the Movie" (watch the trailer here) in January. Please feel free to send me any other movie suggestions to scott@transitionsebastopol.org.

Toward Transition,
