With Nick Osborne from Transition, UK
Have you been:
• Perplexed why it’s so hard to get things done in a group?
• Frustrated by others on your team?
• Unhappy about power dynamics but don't know what to do about that?
Did you want to:
• Run out the door?
• Just do it yourself?
Skills for Building Effective Groups and Teams don’t always come naturally. We need to learn, practice and build teams around effective processes, clear agreements, and thoughtful communications. What makes effective groups tick? What is it like to be in a well-functioning group? Can that truly be a joy?
Nick Osborne, has been involved with the Transition Towns Movement since it began in England in 2007. He has been a leading trainer for the Transition Network and has been offering a set of training courses around building effective groups, teams and collaborations. Nick’s courses come from integrating 20 years experience of working with leadership models in social change projects, intentional communities and Eco-villages, and conventional and cutting edge organizations.
During this evening Nick will cover the essentials of good group dynamics, provide a variety of tools and resources and will give a taste of an upcoming 2-day course for those who want to take a deeper dive and gain more proficiency in facilitating skillful group process.
