Time is running out. \; With each year that passes\, our ability to prevent catastrophic climate change diminishes. Voluntary action is great\, but we really need a mandatory economy-wide system. \; Cap and Share is a framework for reducing greenhouse gases fairly\, and returning profits back to people if prices go up. \; You actually get paid as we all reduce emissions\, and it&rsquo\;s based on democratic principles\: One person &ndash\; One share. \; In 1 hour\, we&rsquo\;ll discuss the carbon market in California&rsquo\;s AB32 law\, the right and wrong way to do cap and trade\, the pending bill in Congress\, what could happen at the international climate talks in Copenhagen\, and how you can get involved.

Hello Food Activists (Foodies?)

We want to activate and reinvigorate the Food Group of Transition Sebastopol. \; We feel that food is one of the most important areas for  \;
us to be engaged in when looking toward the future. The Food Group had the most people express interest in and have ideas around during all  \;
of our initial Transition meetings so we know this is an area people want to work in. \; Our vision is to have a solid core of people working  \;
on food issues as a part of Transition's movement toward a resilient and abundant future. \; We hope you will join us.

Our agenda will focus on brainstorming what we see as needed in the West County Food System and where we are excited to work and take on a  \;
project. \; Though this is similar to what we have done in past larger meetings\, we hope to really focus and organize our ideas to help find  \;
clarity of where we will best be of service. We will work with prioritizing ideas and find some things we can begin working on. \; A  \;
longer term goal will be to develop the vision of what that resilient and abundant future would look like.
